Is it  advisable to visit the city in Oct 3 to 6 ? Will it be very crowded and will shopping be more expensive ?

You are suggested to avoid traving during that period, which happens to be during Chinese National Day Holiday, so it would be very crowded. But the shopping won't be more expensive and the price would be just as usual.
