Tianjin cruise ship terminal to Tianjin airport. Is visa required?

How long is your transfering from ship terminal to Port and you will fly from Tianjin to an international country?
If you will fly to an international country and stay in Tianjin for less than 24 hours, you do not need to apply one. You just need to apply for a stay permit to get out of the ship terminal to reach the airport. If not, you need to apply for a Transit G type for your transfering.0

I estimate that it would be less than a few hours taxi trip, ship to airport to board plane home to Australia(it is less than 40 -50 Km).
Do I need to apply for a stay permit before I leave Australia?

If so, you still need to apply for a stay permit to leave the Port. The permit is not needed to apply in advance, but just get it at the terminal with your flight ticket and your valid passport. It is easy to get.0
