About:Overseas Chinese Town East

Will we find English speaking people easily in Shenzhen & what about the Indian vegetarian food?

I am a vegetarian Indian.
Should I stay in OTC or main Shenzhen & then take day tour to OTC
I have three nights stay in the city
I think food is going to be a problem for me

Yes, you will easily find English speaking people in Shenzhen. Now it has been a popular destination for many foreign travelers. You can find Indian and Vege. restaurants in the city, but I am not sure about the pure Indian vege. food.

A whole day spent at OCT is enough, so I suggest you stay in a hotel in main part of Shenzhen.

Thank you Henry for your reply.I am planning to stay in HolidayInn hotel, how should I go from there to the OCT?

Should I take a taxi or metro or some tourist bus package so that I can go to Wow, OCT & also for some shopping . Can u guide me with an Indian eating joint nearby my hotel . Pl guide Thanks

Ur hotel is around 50km to the scenic area. You can walk from your hotel to Nanshan Cultural Center bus stop to take bus no. J1 to your destination.

There is a Sightseeing Bus Line in the city for you to choose, but pesonally it is not the best choice for visiting. Every time you get off, you need to buy another ticket. Then I would suggest you rent a car or taxi for a leisure travel.

As for Indian dining, I know around 900 meters from your hotel, there is a Indian Curry Kitchen and it is located in the Poly Cultural Square food street, No. 33, Wenxin Fifth Road. Another is Small Indian Nepal Cuisine, which is also located on the food street.
