a business trip for 3 months residental permit

Ok my question is, weader if you are to go to china for a bsiness trip for 3 months only in your visa and you found that you want to stay,  is it possible to have the residental permit before that 3 months finishing? And how.

Momodou, it's impossible to apply for the residence permit if you hold M type. But you may try to extend your M type if you plan to stay longer time in China. The local entry and exit management bureau has the final say.
