About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Is this two entries or one entry and a transfer?

Can I enter China in Shanghai, stay 48 hours, fly to Hong Kong and Thailiand then fly back to Shanghai to transfer to a flight leaving that day back to the USA

If your staying time in Shanghai is no more than 72 hours on your returning trip, you can enjoy 72-hour free transit for both of the trips.
It is reminded that the tickets to HK or to USA should have confirmed seats and you need to tell the airline you want to enjoy this service when boarding.
