Resident Permit for my Family

i work in china and i want to get my wife and my 8month daughter to china and stay with me.. Can you please let me know how do i go about applying their resident permit and what documents are required for it. i have a resident permit.

would i need to submit:
a) Mariage certificate b) Birth certificate for my Daughter

Also, do i need to submit the above documents once this is signed by the Chinese Embassy in India. If ye, can the chinese embassy in China attest it if i am carrying it in original? Or if that needs to be done in India can the Chinese embassy in Delhi sign/attest both the documents in Delhi ( since the birth certificate for my Daughter is issued in Kolkata).

Please help me with the information. Tarun

For your wife and your daugther, you cannot apply a residence permit for them in India, but can only apply for S1 type visa for them. Then when they enter China, they can change their S1 to residence permit.

Marriage certificate and birth certificate are necessary fo applying S1. It cannot be doe in the Chinese embassy in China and they are needed to be authenticated in India.

These two certificates need to be authenticated in Chinese embassy/consulate in India. Whether the birth certificate can be authenticated in Delhi, you may need to consult the embassy directly, because usually, the authentication is done in the place you reside.

Besides these two, you need to write them an invitation letter, post the photocopy of your residence permit and working Z to them. Then they can use above documents together with their valid passport, application form with recent taken photos to apply in India.
