About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Beijing - HK - Beijing, enjoy 72-hour free transit?

Hi, I am an Italian citizen.
I have a one-entry visa to China and I am currently based in Beijing.
I would like to go to Hong Kong and then fly back to Beijing and take the connection flight back to Italy - without exiting the airport.

Is that possible?
Thank you

If you have connecting flight ticket with confirm seats to back to Italy and you stay in Beijing for less than 72 hours, you can enjoy the 72-hour entry free policy on your return trip to home.

Thanks!
So it doesn't make a difference the fact that I had already previously enjoyed a visa?

You are in Beijing now, so you have already use your one entry type now, right?
If so, it does not make a difference for your stopover in Beijing.
