Infant milk formula

Hi, I am traveling to Shanghai on Work Permit and has a 1 year visa. My infant daughter (1 yr 11 months old) will be traveling with me, and I need to carry her canned milk (Enfamil Milk powder) with me. Is it ok if I carry around 6-7 cans of sealed Enfamil cans with me? Do I need to declare them in customs? Also, pls let me know how much CNY I am allowed to carry in China.

Manasit, I don't know how much each can weighs. According to China Customs, tax isn't imposed if the total weight is below 2.5 kg. It means that you can take 4 cans if each weighs 800g or six cans if each is 400g without paying duty. The weight limit is 5kg. If you carry more than 2kg but less than 5kg, you should declare it at the customs and pay the duty. If you carry more than 5kg, you won't be allowed to carry it into China.
