book train ticket need china mobile number?

i don't have china mobile number, how do i book for the ticket? can i borrow my china friend mobile number?
but still i will fill in my own passport number?

Do you mean book through the official website 12306.cn? yes a Chinese mobile phone number is required when you register on the site.
you can use your Chinese friend's number or you can even ask your friend to book for you, as long as you provide correct passenger information when booking.
