How many years does it take to have a cycle of the same leap month for instance the fourth month?

Michael, it's really hard to tell. The leap year and leap month has something to do with the 24 solar terms. Take April (leap month) for example, it appears in 1982, 2001, 2012 and 2020. You'd better check this on the perpetual calendar. It tells you the leap year and leap month clearly.

Thank you for your prompt reply Mindy. I now know roughly when I can expect my next leap month birthday. My lunar calendar birthday falls on the 24thday of the 4th leap moon in 1944. So that means it will have the same leap 4th moon in 2020. Am I correct?
