About:Shanghai Metro

Shanghai Public Transportation Card

I will be arriving at Pudong Airport. Is there a location at the airport to purchase a transportation card? This is something that I would like to use immediately on arrival? My plan is to take the #2 metro into SH from the airport and I would like to use the card. Thank you.

As you plan to take metro line 2, you can easily get a transportation card in the Customer Service Center of Pudong Airport metro station.

I suggest you take the Maglev, start from Pudong Airport to Longyang Road Station, only take 8 minuts, but if you take Metro line 2, might be taking half hour and if you want to go to down town, you need to exchange at Guang Land Road Station.

Maglev cost is RMB 40 for one way, expensive then subway but save time in trafic.

Pudong Airport has 2 teminal, Metro line station and Meglev station in the midle of two teminals.
