About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

TWOV Shanghai 72hrs

Hi All,

i am planning a business trip to visit some of my clients. Actually i planned to fly:

FRA-DOH-PVG-IST-MAN

Is there any problem to get the 72hrs TWOV in Shanghai, as i arrive from Doha, will stay around 36hrs in Shanghai to meet my client and then wanna fly onwards to Istanbul.

As on the Visa rules applies:
Enter from One Country and leaving to a third Country/Region

I am not clear, how the regions/countries match exactly or if they only allow transit in 1 direction

HI Betty,

thanks for your reply. You are sure? Someone told me, that the Transit need to be in one direction; "flights back" are not allowed, like f.e. FRA-PVG-CDG as it would match as same region

Your actual route is Doha-Shanghai-Istanbul. The departure place and your final destination are two different places in two countries. So it's ok for you to enjoy 72 hours free transit.
