About:Chinese Embassy in South Korea

can I apply for a visa to China in South Korea?

I am a US Service member in country on SOFA,

If you hold diplomatic, official or service passport, you can apply in South Korea. If you hold ordinary passport, you should apply in Japan or in the USA because you don't have ARC cards.
