About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hours free pass on a round trip to Shangai

Hi! I'm US citizen traveling from Busan, Korea to Shanghai Pudong, on a round trip. This is my schedule:

BUS - PVG 24AUG 12:35 - 13:30
PVG - BUS 27AUG 11:10 - 14:00

Am I allowed to take the 72 hours free transit pass at Shanghai? I have to move to a near city Taizhou, Jiangsu by ground transportation (around 200km far from PVG). If not, is there any other option I can take?

Since you are from BUS and return to BUS, you cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit. You need to apply for a single entry L visa for going to Shanghai.

To reach Taizhou from Shanghai, you can take a bullet train from local Hongqiao Railway Station. From PVG to Hongqio Railway Station, you can take local subway line 2.
