About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I get 72-hr free visa for VietNam-Chengdu-US(no direct flight fr VN, it stops Guangzhou 2 hrs)

You mean you need to fly to Guangzhou before reaching Chengdu?
If so, you cannot enjoy the 72 hours free transit in China.
