About:China Transit Visa

I am traveling to India from Houston in August and I have a 15hrs lay over in China Beijing!

can I move out of the airport for sight seeing can I get a transit visa

Yes, you can get out of the airport to see around only with a stay permit, since you only stay for less than 24 hours. The stay permit can be obtained at the Immigration in the airport with your passport and your onward flight tickets. It is no need to apply for a G type in advance.
