About:Hong Kong Long-Distance Bus

Dongguan --> HK

Hi, I need to take a bus from Dongguan to HK on Sep 5. Can you please tell me how long the trip is? Also, can I purchase the ticket onboard, o do I need to get it in advance?

Hi, Dongguan is a large city including many districts, so which specific place do you refer? Or from where you want to take the bus for HK, the city proper, or some other towns belonging to Dongguan?

Generally speaking, from Exhibition International Hotel, Houjie International Hotel and Hotel Silverland, etc, there are direct buses for HK. The buses take around 2 to 2.5 hours to HK. If possible, you can book in advance from the hotels. If not, you can buy when you reach there.

My accommodation is this hotel: Pullman Dongguan Forum hotel at No.32 Dongcheng Middle Road, Dongcheng District, Dongguan

If the trip from there to downtown HK is just 2-2.5hrs long, then a bus is undoubtedly a much more convenient way to go than a plane.

At your hotel, u can take a taxi to Chang'an Hotel, in front of which you can take the direct cross-border coach to HK downtown.

It actually looks a 50min trip from my hotel to Chang'an Hotel. Isn't there a closer pick-up station?

No, it is not true. The Chang'an Hotel (长安酒店) is only about 8km from your hotel.
