please help... confused about the trains.

Question

I'm traveling from Thailand to Beijing.   I need to be in Mudanjiang.  I like the trains and I'm prepared to take the 20 hour train ride to Mudanjiang from BJ.  I found train T297 to be going to Mudanjiang.   QUESTION:  How do I get to train T297 from PEK airport.  How long to travel from the airport to the train.  How much baggage (kg) can I take on the train (I'll be traveling in the soft sleeper) as I'll be arriving with 2x20kg (40kg) bags. Again thank you... Raya

The train T297 departs from BJ Railway Station, so you can take the airport shuttle bus Line 3 and get off at the railway station. It takes about one hour.According to the rules, your bags are over the maximum you can taken onto the train for free and you need to check-in at the railway station. Although I saw some Chinese people take their large bags onto the train easily, I still suggest you to check in or consult the BJ Railway Station staff for detail information to avoid much troubles.

Thank you... Now just 1 more Question.... What time does the buses stop? What/who is a really cheap hotel to stay in as close as possible at the train station. As I would be arriving late night and (the train leaves at 12:00) would like a cheap place to rest/take a shower very close to the train station

The last bus of shuttle line 3 leaves the airport at 00:00. Hope you can catch that!As for the cheap accommdation, there is a Hi Inn around 950 meters from the train station. Both the price and facilities would be satisfactory!
