About:Chengdu Travel

Are there any direct transfer options from Mianyang Nanjiao Airport to Chengdu

or will I have to go to Mianyang then get a train from there?

There is no direct transfer option from the airport to the destination. You don’t have to take the trains, you can take the bus at the Mianyang Bus Station, which has many buses to CD.
