About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hrs visafree policy on the way back to home country

I have read somewhere that this policy cannot be applie if I fly through China from a third country to my home country, is it true?
I also want to ask about flights to Taiwan or Hong Kong, are they considered as third countries as I saw they are viewed by China as its part. Example of my flight Europe - Guangzhou - Taipei

You mean from a country (not your home country) to China and then fly to your home country? If so, it is qualified for the 72-hour free transit policy.
Taiwan or HK are not regarded as the third country, but they are regarded as the third regions according to the policy.
