Is there a bullet train from Shanghai to Hong Kong?

Hello everybody,
If yes:
- how much does a trip cost (round about)
- does it also leave on weekends?
- how long does a trip take?
- how many hours in advance should I be at the train station to have enough time to go through the safety procedures?

Thanks very much!

- It costs HKD825 for soft sleeper and HKD 530 for hard sleeper.
- it leaves every other day: odd dates in July, even dates in August, odd dates in September and October, and even dates in November and December.
- it takes over 25 hours.
- about 2 hours.

There's one to Shenzhen, on the border with Hong Kong. The HK extension isn't complete yet, so you have to cross the border on foot and ride the MRT to central HK (easily done). I'm afraid I don't know the price, but I believe the trip would take about 10 hours to Shenzhen (you may or may not have to change at Huangzhou). When departing, you want to be at the station at least 30 minutes before the departure time. More important though is having the time to buy the ticket - they are often booked out days ahead, so you probably want to go to the station (any national rail station, doesn't have to be the actual departure station) a few days before to get your ticket.
