buying high speed train ticket at guangzhou airport

Question

I am arriving Guangzhou tomorrow afternoon, staying at the airport hotel and want to take the high speed train to Changsha early the next morning.  What is the best way for me to buy the ticket once I arrive at Guangzhou airport.  I do not plan to go into Guangzhou city.  Can I buy it at Baiyun airport or at the hotel?  Thanks.

Hi Pat, You can not buy the ticket at the airport. You may confirm with the hotel if they provide railway ticket booking service. if not, you have to go into the city to buy the ticket. i suggest that you stay in the city the night you arrive, as the airport is quite far from the railway station from which you are leaving for Changsha, and it takes 1.5 - 2 hours to get the railway station from the airport buy subway. Alternatively, you can book the ticket with an online agent (like this site), and get up early to get the railway station to pick up the ticket by yourself.
