how to get visa for temporary stay?

my daughter is going to chengdu for studying from india. i wanted to know which type I should apply to drop her in china and stay there for a week. should i have a normal one or is there any special  kind i need to have?and which documents are needed to apply?

You can just apply for a L type.You need to take your passport, application form with recent taken photo, round trip flight tickets, hotel booking confirmation letter, personal written statement (may including place to visit, name, address) and original copy of recent 6-month bank statement to apply for L type.
