visa requirement for X1 type

For applying, your passport, your application form with your recent taken photo, original and photocopy of the admission letter, original and photocopy of "Visa Application for Study in China" are needed.

Thanks. I am sure a physical medical examination is required.I read through the requirements on China embassy website, they requested for recommendation letter from two experts. What kind of experts? Do I need a sponsor's letter when I have a scholarship from the Chinese government?

For the experts issue, maybe you read the old documents. According to the new rules, the recommendation letters are needed.
Since you have got the scholarship, the sponsor's letter is not necessry. But it would be much better if you can have one.
It is suggested to consult the embassy directly for the detail information.
