Will i be able to take my father in law with us to china as a dependent?

Will i be able to take my father in law (my father in law cares for our 2 year old son) to China if my husband is selected for a Chinese Government Scholarship? He is in his 60s so he is in our charge becaus he is a retired preacher. Would it be possible for him to be classed as a dependent so that we could bring him to live with us in China?

Yes, it is possible to take your father-in-law to go and you need to prepare invitation letter, a photocopy of your husband's passport and residence permint and original and photocopy of kinship certificate.
