About:Chinese Embassies in Asia

Could the US embassy in Hong Kong help me or is this a hard and fast rule?

I am a US citizen teaching in Mainland China. I didn't realize my visa was for two entries only. I went too Hong Kong and was told I must return to the states too reapply. I hate to fly back too the states too just apply again.

Preslik, whhich type do you hold for teaching in mainland China, Z type? If so, you should acquire a temporary resident permit. With that, you can enter and leave China before your temporary expires. Anyway, if the authority told you to apply in the United States, you have no other choice but go back and apply for a Z type to teach in China.
