About:China Work Visa

Quitting a job in China

I came to Beijing in April 2013 as a trailing spouse (my wife is a teacher). I since found a full time job and obtained a work permit and residence permit. When the new residence permit was issued my trailing spouse visa was canceled. If I leave my job (I don't like it much) is my residence permit still valid until the expiration date of Jan. 2015 or is it canceled at the time I leave my current job?

Thanks

Hi, your work permit will be canceled at the time when you leave the job. But for the residence permit, you can visit the local PSB and try to get it transfered to the family visit type - trailing spouse one.
