do I need to show a booked flight or is a quote from a travel agent sufficient as proof of travel?

Hi I'm an australian citizen working in Lao PDR. I work in a remote site there, so i am applying here in Melbourne. For proof of Flight/accomodation documents: Is it ok to show my flight coming from Bangkok to china or do I need to show it coming from Australia?

An air ticket from Bangkok to China is enough. A confirmed booking order from the agent is ok. Here confirmed means that you already paid for the ticket though you didn't have it in hands.
