About:China Tourist Visa

Am I required to provide round-trip airfare documentation if I plan to leave China by train?

I plan on entering China for one month via Hong Kong. In China I will be traveling around with a friend who is a Chinese national. I then plan to leave China by train to Vietnam. How can I ensure that I receive a a tourist visa without providing proof of round-trip airfare?

Thanks for your help!

Hi, train ticket is ok also for tourist L application if any. Or you can just provide a detailed travel itinerary, or invitation letter from your Chinese friend also a copy of his/her Chinese ID instead for application.
