I am a US citizen currently residing in Korea and planning to visit China multiple times in one year

I am planning to do business with Chinese firm and expect to visit China 1-2 times per month for about 1 year. Is M visa best option for me?

Yes, you need to apply for a multiple entry M for this purpose.
