shanghai to putoshan

Question

hi, am arriving SH cityby 2 pm, how long will it take me to be clear by the immigration? can i go directly to putoshan when i arrive ? i mean the same date? what is the most convenient mode of transport for me to take in going to putoshan? train, boat or bus? what is the late trip in going to putoshan? is the terminal, train, boat or bus, far from pudong airport? am going there middle of july, 2014. thanks

The exact time for clearing the immigration is hard to tell, because it depends on the numbers of passengers. Usually, it takes around half an hour to one hour. From the airport, there is no direct transportation method to reach the Putuoshan, but you can reach there on the same day. You are suggested to take the airport shuttle bus line 7 to South Railway Station and then walk to the south bus station to take a bus for Zhoushan Shenjiamen Putuo Bus Station. Then you can take a taxi for Zhujiajian Ferry Dock where you can find the ferries to Putuoshan. The last ferry from Zhujiajian Dock to Putuoshan is at around 21:50.
