About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

I have to go from Houston to Dalian and back to Houston for a business meeting.

I have an expired (exp in April 2014) 1 year type F. I only plan to be in China for two days. I'll arrive with round trip ticket most likely via Beijing because there is a direct flight. Can I use the 72 hr free transit?. Would I be required to fly directly in and out of Dalian or does the 72hr "transit" does not apply at all for short business related trips.

For above itinerary Houston - Dalian - Houston, you can not avail the 72 hour free transit. So, you need to apply for a business F type in advance.
