About:Chinese Paper-cut Museum

wondering if stopping in Hong Kong (or some other country) before going back to Seoul allows me to use this visa-free transit?

Seoul - Chengdu - Seoul, I'm a US citizen working in Seoul. Using this 72-hour free transit, is it possible to fly Seoul to Chengdu, stay for less than 72 hours, and fly back to Seoul, through Hong Kong?

So your whole trip is Seoul-Chengdu-Hong Kong-Seoul, right? If so, you can use 72 hours free transit in Chengdu.
