About:China Visa Entries / Validity / Duration of Stay

I have a Chinese mainland visa and would like to travel to Hong kong, do I need to make another one

Hi, I'm currently living in China and a have a student type. Would like to travel to Hong kong during the holidays, I'd like to know whether I need to make another or will this one suffice?

South Africans can stay in HK as long as 30 days. Do you hold X1 or X2 type? If X2 type, you may have trouble re-entering mainland China because it's just a single entry one. If you have X1 type and change it into temporary resident permit, then you can go there for a visit and get back without any problem.
