How can a Canadian citizen holding a HK ID Card (without 3 stars) apply for a Chinese visa?

My daughter who is 17 years old, born in Canada, and holds a HK permanent ID Card (the one without 3 stars). We are going to visit HK and plan to apply while we are there. What are the documents required when applying in HK?

Heidi, the required docuements and process are the same. The only difference is that she needs to apply from the Office of The Commissioner of The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the PRC in HK SAR.
