Yeah, sort of. At Shenzhen North Train Station, you can take a high speed train to Chaoshan station in 2.5h. It costs CNY89.5 for a second class seat and CNY107.5 for a first class seat. Upon getting to Chaoshan Station, you can easily find shuttle buses your destination then.

To some extent, the high speed train exist between the two cities. But the trains will not stop in that city proper directly. The high speed train from Shenzhen North Railway Station will stop in Chaoshan Railway Station, which is the closest railway station to your destination city. After reaching that station, you take the shuttle bus to your final destination. For the price and the duration, what Ms. Rita said was right.

BTW, the bus duration from Chaoshan Railway Station to your destination is around 40 minutes. The bus fare is around 18RMB per adult.
