Will all the Public Service departments in China be closed for a whole week on National Day Holiday?

I need to extend my Visa and need to know if I can do it around that time. I don't get it if the National Day Holiday implies in 3 days off or 7 days off.

Yes, the departments are off work during the National Day Holiday. By the way, you should be aware that the extension must be done at least 7 days before it expires.
