About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Do I qualify for the 72-hour visa exempt?

I am a Canadian Citizen. I have used a single-entry one for entry into China, and and I currently in Dalian, China. In 2 weeks, I will travelling to Taiwan, and then back to Canada with a 24-hour layover in GuangZhou. I need to leave the airport to stay at a local GuangZhou hotel overnight. Do I qualify?
