About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Missing old visa and other questions

Hi, I am looking to apply for a tourist L and have a few inquiries:
1) my previous one is missing as I have misplaced my previous passport. But I do have an older one from 19 years ago. Would it be fine if I submit the older one and not mention the other one in my application? Will they be able to see all the prior ones?
2) Do I need to show my HK hotel reservation as part of my travel itinerary? Or is the one in china fine?
3) I am a naturalized Chinese-American with a changed name since I was 15 years old (in my 30s now). All my US passports have been under my changed name, do I need to to show proof of my old Chinese name with naturalized papers and such?

Thanks for any responses!

If you were a former Chiense and apply for the Chinese visa for the first time, your previous Chinese passport is required. But if you have applied Chinese visa with US passport before, the copies of the previous US passport's data page and the photo page, as well as the previous Chinese visa page are required. So, you should better contact the embassy directly if you can not find the old one.
