About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72hr Visa On Arrival

Hello. I am An American traveling from Indonesia to Beijing to sign some documents with a local business in China. I have been told that I can get in on a 72hr one on arrival. Is this true? I will be departing back to the same country I came from. Has anyone done this before? If so is it easy? How much is it?
Thanks

No, you can not avail 72 hour free transit if you will go back to the same country, for example, Indonesia-Beijing-Indonesia. But if you fly from Indonesia to Beijing then back to USA, you can get 72 hour free transit permit on arrival without problem.
