About:Ferry of Shekou Port, Shenzhen

i heard from my friend, if we go to shenzhen via shekou ferry terminal so when we go back to hongkong we must back via ferry terminal. is it true?

because i planned to go to SZ by bus then go back to hongkong via terminal because my hotel is near Shekou terminal
