About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

13 Days 4 parts of China being covered what type of visa is needed?

My partner and I are going to china for 13 days we will be visiting Beijing, Chengdu, Hong Kong and Shanghai now I assume I only need a single entry (as when we visited Vietnam last year we only needed a single entry for a multi destination trip) but I just wanted to check this was correct and that we do not require a multiple entry instead?

Hi, is this itinerary with all cities in order? if yes, you need a double entry tourist L. Because leaving for HK from Chengdu counts an exit from China, it requires one more entry if you re-enter mainland China from HK. So, my suggestion is to rearrange the itinerary with HK as the last one you visit.

Hi Jerry

Thanks for your reply; well we fly in to and depart from Beijing so our current route is Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Hong Kong, Shanghai and back to Beijing any of these can be moved around except for Beijing at the start and finish obviously because of our flights; so as we have to fly back to Beijing any way will we need a multiple entry? Thank you for your help

Yes, but a double entry is enough for your trip.
