About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Same Itinerary booked stopover in Shanghai

I want to travel from USA to PVG, stay 24 hours in shanghai then fly to Singapore. My return will be from singapore to japan then back to usa. Does the visa free option qualify here?
