How long does the buying of a ticket take?

How long will it take when you want to buy a ticket at Beijing railway stations? What is the best time to go to a station and buy a ticket, in the morning, afternoon or in the evening? Thank you! Jeroen.

the procedure of buying the tickets only takes a few minutes, but the time to wait in lines is unknown. early morning or late in the evening will be better time to go to a station and buy a ticket. but a station will be crowded all day in holidays.
