using octopuscard in mrt in hk

How did Octopus work when get in the MRT gate I will tap on machine then I reach next destination then tap out and how it work to know how many station I has transit and how charge to my Octopus.

Yes, you need to tap on the machine when you get in the MTR gate and tap again when you get out. The machine is connected in service, so it can count the stations numbers by computer system. It only counts the number of stations, but do not count the transits. When you get out of the station, the machine will deduct certain amout of money automatically.
