China Tourist Visa - New one or extension in HK for french passport

Hi,

I have visas for 1 internship, 2 tourist, and 1 business. I usually go to HK every two months to renew/get a new one, and my current one runs out tomorrow, so I will leave China to HK to do this.

However, I am contacting my normal agency and a few others and they are all telling me there are problems with french passports extending it.... Please does anyone know if there is any news about this? My friend is there now trying to renew hers and they said no to her, and that its very hard to do it right now. Something about the French government having changed some regulations????

I will have to pack all my things and leave China for good if I cannot renew it. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hi, it must be true if your travel agency told you like this. I heard of difficulty for french passport holders before but just with extreme complicated documents. This time the application is banned in HK. I am thinking it is still ok if you are have a HK ID.
