About:Chinese Embassy in U.K.

Visa: How far in advance

If I physically arrive in China on the 5th August, what is the minimum time to apply for it? They say 3 months but I want to do it now and get it over with before I begin travelling.

Hi, it is only valid for 3 months from the issue date. So it is best to apply one month prior to your departure date. The processing itself takes 4 working days, you can apply as earliest on 5th May.

I begin travelling on the 26th June so I won´t have time after that. And I will be applying by post in Spain so I would have to allow extra time for that. But if I apply now I can still enter before the 5th August surely...
