About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Visa for my 18 year old daughter

I will be moving to Beijing in August 2015 to teach at YCIS. My daughter will be coming with me. She currently lives in NZ. I live in Brunei.
My work Z will be organised by my employer, but from what I have gathered my daughter can only apply for a short term one lasting 180 days or the tourist L.
At this stage she will be with me for longer than 6months. If she applies for the short term one can she reapply again for the same one or perhaps the tourist L. She wants to get work in Beijing teaching English. Is this possible under the tourist L.
Is she able to enter under the short term one and complete a TEFL course online and then search for employment there in Beijing at a later date.
I would really like to know which would be the best option regarding the fact that she is likely to stay with me for at least a year, maybe 2, particularly if she enjoys living in China.

Hi, your daughter is only able to apply for tourist L, because family visit S type is issued to childern under the age of 18. But she is able to extend her tourist L without leaving. If she want to work also in China, then she have to leave and apply for work Z as you will do.
