About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Kuala Lumpur - Jeju via Shanghai Airport (Indonesian passport holder)

Hello, i'm planning on flying fro Kuala Lumpur to Jeju, South Korea via Shanghai...refer to the ticket itinerary the transit time at shanghai will take approx. 2 days.

considering my nationality, is it possible for me to do sightseeing at shanghai? otherwise pls advise what should i do during transit period?

I'm afraid not. You are not qualifitied for the free-visa policy. For your two days' stayover, you need to apply for a visa in advance. With that, you will be allowed to get out of the airport for sightseeing!

You cannot miss the Bund and the cruise on the Huangpu River. Besides, you are also recommended to see the Oriental Pearl TV Tower and Jinmao Tower, roam around Temple of City God (Chenghuangmiao) and Nanjing Road. If you are interested, take the local sightseeing bus to have a general view of the main attractions!
