About:Ancient Chinese Marriage Custom

why do they wear those red clothes in their marriage? why not regular clothes?

Red clothes in Chinese history mean auspicious, lucky and happy, so the brides and bridegrooms usually wear such clothes during their wedding! As for the style of the clothes, it was inherited from the ancient custom. In the past, Chinese people wore gown style clothes.

The wedding pictures in the page only happen in some rural areas. In modern China, More and more brides wear wedding dress and bridegrooms wear suits.
